So tonight I made my first trip to Walgreens. I am excited to share that I was able to get 1 free Fructis Shampoo, 1 free Fructis Hair Style product and 1 free Colgate Total Advanced Clean toothpaste!

Something I learned about Walgreens is that you can't get money back with a coupon so if an item cost .99 and your coupon is $1 then you must buy something else to make up that .01 difference - bummer. Not easy to find something worth .01 but at the moment the cheapest thing I can find if you don't need anything else is Ramen noodles for .29. So I have decided this is my default "extra" item.

Kroger has a lot of good deals this week as well. Check out there buy 10 get $5 back specials. I went Sunday and bought 10 bottles of Powerade (normally about $1.39, on sale for $1.00)....for $5 ($10 minus the $5 instant rebate). You can get 3 rebates on one receipt....so on that trip with coupons and sales (I bought exactly 30 items from the list of rebate items), I saved 54% off on my bill.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for all you Coke fans...KMart has 6 packs of .5 liter bottles for $2! We stocked up on Coke Zero...that is way cheaper than Sam's and better than the normal sale at Kroger for $3.33 or so each.
